Cakes, cookies, calories – a dream!
At BioKonditorei Eichel in Osterstraße, you'll find gluten-free cakes, pastries, and chocolates in a daily changing assortment. Gluten-free, lactose-free, or vegan – you decide. The treats are available for takeout or to eat on-site. Small but mighty – in a cozy atmosphere, you can enjoy your treat indoors amidst the scent of freshly baked cake, and when the weather is good, you can eat outdoors. Upon request or order, they'll bake the perfect four-tiered birthday cake.
After all this information, it's no wonder that the establishment is always full. The coziness suffers a bit from this – but the raspberry japonaise makes up for it. Because all ingredients and even the packaging are organic, the price is a bit higher. A slice of chocolate-nut-raspberry cake costs 3.50 Euros, which is perfectly fine.

Eis Schmidt
Now there's ice cream!
Even for gluten-intolerant Hamburg residents, there's the perfect sundae. Eis Schmidt offers homemade vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free ice cream. There are various flavors: vanilla, chocolate, or even mango, but Harte Jungs (Tough Guys) sounds best. Plus, the ice cream shines so beautifully dark. Strawberry flavor isn't necessarily my thing in ice cream, but hey, making the tough guys "pout" – that sounds too tempting.
Just because of the names, it has to be this ice cream. The flavors have great names, definitely. Schwester-Herz (Sister-Heart), Jo-Nuss (Jo-Nut), Schmollmund (Pouty Face). They taste just like their names: fantastic. For two scoops of ice cream with cream and chocolate sauce, you'll have to shell out 4.80 Euros. It's worth it. The ingredients come from regional production and from happy cows in Relling. Eis Schmidt is a really charming shop where every detail is just right. From the turquoise ice cream cups to beautifully packaged confectionery and colorful toppings, everything is a feast for the eyes. The magical, homemade tea biscuits and candies can be bought directly in the shop.

Liberty
Wow, Liberty! You sweet, little cafe and bistro
Here you can enjoy a hearty breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere in the morning, devour a savory snack at lunchtime, then have a few scoops of ice cream for dessert, and indulge in a delicious piece of cake with your coffee. That sounds good, doesn't it? The location of Cafe Liberty couldn't be better: situated directly on the Fish Market in St. Pauli, you get the opportunity to enjoy your ice cream with a view of the harbor. The fact that all offered food and drinks are vegan is only mentioned in passing – it's obvious. In addition to successful classics like vanilla and chocolate, there are many changing ice cream flavors – from berry variations to woodruff or licorice. Pricewise, 1.20 Euros for an extremely large scoop of ice cream is absolutely fine, especially since it's a small production and, compared to ice cream made from regular milk, which is cheap to get, it's made from more expensive raw materials. Plan: Stroll through the Fish Market again on Sunday and then eat scrambled eggs with bread or an energizing scoop of ice cream at Liberty. See you there!

Happenpappen is the exclusively vegan kitchen on St. Pauli and an indispensable part of Hamburg's culinary scene. Gluten-free options are, of course, also available. Owner Cathy and her team conjure up incredibly delicious dishes made from regional and seasonal products that are guaranteed to please even non-vegans! In addition to colorful bowls, quiches, and salads, there are daily changing specials, juicy burgers, and a great brunch. And all of it tastes twice and thrice as good in the cozy room with lots of wood and flowers.

Ti Breizh
Boys in blue and white striped shirts greet you at Ti Breizh with a friendly Bonjour. They'll show you to a petite table pour manger la crêpes either on the lower floor, the upper floor, or outside on the terrace. Yes, what more can I say - it's heavenly. A little piece of Brittany directly opposite the beautiful Speicherstadt. This is where Ti Breizh is located, with its gluten-free buckwheat crêpes, which become an even more special experience thanks to the atmosphere. Small wooden tables, nestled between brown cabinets filled with charming dishes, from which you can gaze at the Speicherstadt through small windows, along with the French boys in striped shirts, make a good impression. Only high-quality products make it to the plate. In addition to the magnificent crêpes, there are also salads and small galettes as appetizers. Prices here range between six and ten Euros. If you want to shorten the waiting time for your food, it's best to check out the ever-changing exhibitions on the lower floor or browse through the adjacent, charming boutique with typical French clothing.

Rudolph’s
Even Italians can do senza Gluten, and quite well.
The Italian restaurant Rudolph’s offers everything gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegan. It's a high-quality cuisine in a modern and stylish atmosphere. Since Rudolph’s is located directly in HafenCity, a walk to the Elbphilharmonie (new and without construction cranes – yeah!) is totally inviting. Rudolph’s offers brunch, an evening menu, a lunch menu, and for special occasions, even an event kitchen (New Year's Eve, Christmas, birthdays, dinner shows). Here, small groups can cook together. The price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable – pasta starts at 13 Euros and fish at 20 Euros. Rudolph’s is therefore one of the restaurants on our list where you can celebrate a milestone birthday, have a nice date with a guy from Blankenese (and he pays), or enjoy a fancy evening with your best friend.

Oh, no – everything here just tastes good!
So, deciding what to order is incredibly difficult. The sushi restaurant
by chef Steffen Henssler in Eppendorf is modernly furnished and invites you to its terrace when the weather is good. If a gluten intolerance is mentioned, the staff and chefs consider every little detail and create the optimal plate of rolled rice and fish. Gluten-free soy sauce is, of course, available. The atmosphere is very pleasant, wrapped in high-quality surroundings. What you should keep in mind: it's always crowded here. Always. So, reserve a table beforehand so that the surprise dinner for your parents doesn't fall through. Pricewise, we are in the upscale segment here, but for special occasions, it's absolutely fine.

CHA CHA
CHA CHA is a pleasant restaurant for a quick, uncomplicated, and fresh lunch or dinner. Thai cuisine with many fresh ingredients, which can be pre-sorted on the homepage using a very simple menu filter for gluten-free, lactose-free, spicy, nut-free, or vegetarian. CHA CHA offers a truly large selection of dishes at absolutely fair, reasonable prices - the atmosphere is quiet, yet it very closely resembles a snack bar atmosphere. For a quick meal during a shopping trip in the city, CHA CHA in Große Bleichen is great. Rice noodles with pepper chicken are available for just under ten Euros, and a good Tom Kha Gai soup with coconut milk for seven Euros.

Here, the eyes definitely feast too!
At Paledo Hamburg, an inviting superfood deli on Mühlenkamp, healthy eating is the absolute program. Here, they rely entirely on fresh and natural ingredients and do without grains, industrial sugar, and whatever else might be considered "misdeeds" for well-being. The small store conjures up fantastic breakfast and salad bowls, gluten-free overnight oats, snacks, a delicious shakshuka, refreshing juices, and also offers pre-made lunchboxes. If you like healthy and delicious food, there's no reason not to stop by!
